Hi, I'm Corey Hogan, your Member of Parliament in Calgary Confederation. I live here, work here, and raise my kids here. As your MP, I aim to offer representation that understands both the economy and the public interest - and be a proud Alberta voice standing up for Canada at a challenging time.  In addition to being your MP, I also serve as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

Before I became your representative, I was a vice president at the University of Calgary - located right here in Calgary Confederation and one of the greatest generators of economic opportunity in the city. I’m a former Alberta senior official - serving as chief executive of the department responsible for communications and public engagement for two very different premiers. I’m also a former entrepreneur and strategy consultant - working with some of the world's biggest companies.

Prior to election, I was probably best known for being a political pundit. I was one of the hosts of the popular political podcast The Strategists and was a regular voice on CBC as well as other outlets. I was on the board of the Calgary 2026 Olympic bid and on the Premier’s Market Access Task Force.

I grew up in Calgary and have lived most of my life here, but have roots across Canada. I was born in Ottawa, spent early childhood in Halifax. I’m the son of a Quebec-born doctor, a Nova Scotia-born banking executive and a Nova-Scotia born nurse.

I feel so fortunate to live in Canada, and have benefited greatly from Canada's economic and social balance. I have an MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. I graduated top of my class, making great friends across the country in the process.

The future of our community and this country matters a lot to me, my wife Lori and our three school-aged kids. I want them to have all the same benefits I did - and then some. We can’t take Canada for granted. If we are proud of this country, we need to fight for it.

My way of doing that is through this job, on your behalf. If you want to provide your thoughts, feedback or opinions - or need support accessing government of Canada services - I'm here for you. Let me know how I can help.
